CMR Sample Management System

The CMR Sample Management System (https://research.csiro.au/cmr-samples/) records details of physical samples collected or produced by CMR researchers, to enable discovery and re-use of samples across projects. The Sample Management System is built on Specify, an open-source collection management system (https://www.specifysoftware.org/). The system curates relevant sample metadata depending on sample type, such as rock and mineral, vegetation, soil and water. It is accessible to CMR staff who curate samples. Click the button below to request access. Note: The sample system records only sample metadata. It does not include data/measurements collected from samples. Datasets collected from samples are stored elsewhere, e.g. in the CSIRO Data Access Portal (DAP) or the XT Data Portal.
